Bartolome Island has red volcanic sand, and we visited this in the morning. Later in the day we travelled to Rabida to see the famous volcanic Galapagos scenery.
This cheeky sea lion took a fancy to Jason.
They were very tame and playful. Claire is getting braver with the animals now.
The very Italian guy on our trip wore these tasteful numbers. Often they would be accompanied with long (to the knees) grey socks. Classy.
The fashion police weren't available so we had to chastise him ourselves.
Jason got on well with the loud high pitched talking captain. He strutted around the ship yelling at everyone. He was very excited about this really huge fish that he caught one morning off the boat.
By this stage Jason had the rest of the crew in stitches with his Captain impression.... When the Captain was upstairs on the phone Jason would go down stairs and tell the crew what to do in his best helium voice which they found rather amusing.
Boys.......
This gives you the idea of the volcanic landscapes. To the right is a huge Volcanic boulder that was deposited there in the 1500's.
We looked everywhere for penguins, and managed to get this chap. Jason swam with him for an hour until some nasty guide came and told him off because a large boat full of tourists needed to get their boat right next to it.... Apparently penguins prefer Oakley clad guides with outboard motors to excited children swimming with them.
