Paris

th October 2004.

The very beautiful Paris. This was not our first trip to this amazing city so we kept sightseeing to a minimum. We were visiting Luke to join him for a campervan trip around the French Alps.

We hadn't seen Luke for a year so it was lovely to hang out with him in Paris whilst he moved out of the city and packed his world up into boxes so he could cycle around the world.  We had the next few weeks snowboarding and then we were joining the world of work and Luke was off pedding east.

It was a pleasure to sit and enjoy good food and good company.

Not a bad sunset from Luke's balcony.

We did abit of sightseeing.

The Gothic loftiness of Notre-Dame dominates the Seine and the Ile-de-la-Cité as well as the history of Paris.

The Eiffel Tower, an immense stucture of exposed latticework supports made of iron, erected for the Paris Exposition of 1889.

Jason models latest pair of cheap Bangkok sunglasses that unknown to him will just about make it through the day and he will then spent the next weeks doing the same with numerous other Bangkok bargain pairs)

We didn't know at the time that Paris wouldn't get the Olympics.

Waiting for the train after a great chat with the campervan owner.
